Who runs TrueBuilt

TrueBuilt Remodeling is owned and run by Toby Miller, a U.S. Army veteran based in Oswego, Kansas. Toby is the person who walks the project, writes the plan, and stays the accountable contact from the first measurement through the final walkthrough.

“Veteran-owned” is not a badge on this site; it is how the company operates: clear communication, a written plan, and follow-through on exactly what was agreed.

Why the name

To true something is to bring it square, plumb, and level. A carpenter gets the underlying work right before anything else is built on top of it. That standard also applies to communication, pricing, and follow-through.

How we work

Every project starts with a walkthrough. We listen to what needs to change, inspect the conditions that can affect the work, take measurements, and prepare a written project plan with fixed pricing and clear timing.

The owner remains the accountable contact through the final walkthrough. If the project is outside the work TrueBuilt takes on, we say so before asking you to spend time or money.

Specialty-trade coordination

When a project needs plumbing, electrical, HVAC, structural engineering, roofing, or permitting, those requirements are identified during planning and coordinated with appropriately qualified trade partners or local authorities. Credentials and insurance documents are provided when applicable to the work being proposed.

Tell us where the property is and what needs to change. If the project is a fit, the next step is a walkthrough, measurements, and a written project plan.
